Six Ways To Keep Your Athlete Hydrated

Six Ways To Keep Your Athlete Hydrated

How do you get stocked up for sports? Whether you’re traveling to far off places or staying local, it’s always good to stock up on warm weather essentials, especially if you’re planning for outdoor sports. So get geared up, and get ready to get active without any worries.

#1: Sunscreen

While it’s important to slather on sun protection during the summer, it’s not a bad idea to use it year-round as well. Always opt for SPF 30 or higher and make sure to reapply frequently, especially if you’re jumping in pools or getting sweaty doing outdoor activities. Keep a bottle of the spray-on, lotion, or solid stick sunscreen on hand and you’ll be set all year long.

 #2: Water

Staying hydrated is important no matter what season it is. And when you’re more likely to be losing hydration, drinking plenty of water is all that much more important. When you’re out and about and staying active, find a way to keep some water on hand. Reusable water bottles are not only a great way to stay hydrated but they also reduce waste caused by single-use plastics- so that’s a win-win.

#3: A MISSION Cooling Towel

When the heat is high and your temperature is rising, there’s only so much shade can do. While it does help a lot to keep you cool, nothing is as effective as a towel that’s designed to keep you cooler, for longer. Just wet it and snap it to unlock up to 2 hours of consistent cooling. Available in a variety of colors and sizes, this is the perfect (and essential) accessory for outdoor sports. Just throw it in your bag or toss it around your neck and you’ll be set. Not to mention, you’ll have a way to rapidly cool down if you suffer any of the effects of heat illness.

#4: A Cooling Hat

Sometimes, fashion and function come together. That’s where sun hats come in. Whether your style calls for baseball caps or wide-brimmed hats, there’s plenty of options for everyone. Hats are an important staple for anyone, as they protect your head from the sun’s harsh ways and help keep you cool. So go out there and find the hat that speaks to you. You’ll be glad you did.

#5: Sunglasses

Like hats, sunglasses come in a variety of shapes and sizes. And they’re great at protecting your eyes from sunlight. Look cool and stay cool. And while you’re at it, keep your eyes protected from the sun’s harmful UV rays, which can have long-term harmful effects on your vision.

It’s not a long list but if you make sure to grab what’s on it, you’ll be ready for whatever comes your way. Be safe, be prepared, and most of all, have fun!
